Archytas of Tarentum

Architectus Robotica

Archytas of Tarentum lived between (428 - 347 BC) and he is credited with building the first robot, a mechanical pigeon capable of flight.
Furthermore, it was said, by the Greeks, that Archytas invented the screw.
However, Archimedes, in 234 BC, was the first person to study the screw as a machine and it is commonly recognized as one of the six classical simple machines.  The first mass applications of the screw were presses for both wine and olive oil.  Archimedes used the screw to move water up hill.

We at Architectus Robotica are proud that, our proprietary technology is based on a simple machine which has been moving loads, precisely and efficiently for over 2300 years.
